The Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC) released its 2017 Year in Review, a document that summarizes NEPIRC’s single-year accomplishments in four (4) key areas for local manufacturers:
• Generating Client & Community Impact
• Introducing Industry-Driven Services
• Accelerating Regional Innovation & Industry 4.0
• Being a Champion of Manufacturing

During 2017, NEPIRC client engagements led to the creation and retention of more than 1,800 full-time manufacturing jobs within northeastern and the northern tier of Pennsylvania and facilitated regional manufacturer investments in expansion, new technologies and new products of more than $35 million. Users of NEPIRC services also reported $213 million in revenue growth and $11 million of cost savings.

In addition to generating outstanding results for clients, NEPIRC successfully introduced new services, enhanced manufacturer access to cutting-edge technology through the launch of the NEPIRC Innovation Space and championed manufacturing careers through educational programs targeted to high schools, veterans and the community at large.

“We’re delighted with our results from 2017 not only because they represent the dramatic financial, operational and job impacts we’ve had within our client companies, but because they also reflect our success in remaining innovative and improving the image of manufacturing,” said Eric Joseph Esoda, NEPIRC’s President & CEO.

NEPIRC’s client impacts are derived from client interviews performed by an independent market research firm commissioned by the U.S. Department of Commerce, which conducts its surveys in a way that ensures data integrity and objectivity.

NEPIRC’s performance, and the impacts were made possible through industry support and resources provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce and PA Department of Community & Economic Development. To view a copy of the report, click here.

NEPIRC is a not-for-profit organization that provides world-class professional services exclusively to manufacturers throughout northeastern and northern. NEPIRC’s results have received national and worldwide recognition from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the International Economic Development Council and other institutes and associations.
