WILKES-BARRE, PA (July 2020): The Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC) is providing free COVID-19 Recovery Recommendation Reports to small and mid-sized manufacturers throughout northeastern and the northern tier of Pennsylvania. NEPIRC’s effort is a direct result of CARES Act funding provided to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program, of which NEPIRC is an affiliate.
To obtain customized recommendations to accelerate their post-pandemic return to full operations, profitability and employment levels, manufacturers complete a brief online self-assessment, which can be requested by emailing info@NEPIRC.com. Within 48 hours of completing the assessment, a NEPIRC manufacturing specialist will provide the company with a tailored recovery plan along with a listing of federal, state and local resources available to help them.
The online 10-question assessment touches upon critical business functions, such as sales, operations, workforce management, cybersecurity, supply chain management and disaster preparedness. The recommendations in each report are unique to the respondent company. Therefore, the resource serves as an excellent guide to direct the company through their post-COVID-19 recovery.
“This online assessment, coupled with our quick turnaround of customized recommendations, gives us the ability to magnify our virtual presence within the manufacturing community and help get our region’s manufacturers back up and running – at full capacity and with full employment – as quickly as possible,” said Eric Joseph Esoda, NEPIRC’s President & CEO. “We’re hopeful that many companies will invest seven minutes of their time in exchange for the assistance of our manufacturing experts.”
