NEPIRC celebrated MFG Day 2015 with a networking luncheon on Friday, October 2nd. Harry Moser, President of the reshoring initiative was the Keynote Speaker and Eric Esoda, NEPIRC Executive Director and CEO highlighted the current trends in manufacturing. Guest speaker PA State Senator John Blake also spoke on the importance of manufacturing to the Commonwealth. Over 170 people attended. Students from area high schools and colleges displayed their innovative school projects including robotic equipment, a Segway and 3-D printed items.
Manufacturing Day is a nationwide initiative that recognizes the impact of manufacturing upon the U.S. economy, applauds manufacturing’s value to communities across the nation and raises awareness of high-paying manufacturing careers. Manufacturing Day efforts provide business leaders, legislators, educators, families, media, and the community at large with timely information about the innovations, technologies, career options and best practices that exist within today’s forward-thinking manufacturers.
