The Pennsylvania House of Representatives recently acknowledged the statewide Industrial Resource Centers for their positive impacts upon the manufacturing community by declaring May 12, 2015 as “Industrial Resource Center Appreciation Day” across the Commonwealth.
The Resolution declaring the day’s designation was championed by Representative Eli Evankovich and passed the House of Representatives by unanimous vote. According to the declaration, the seven statewide Industrial Resource Centers, which provide technical services specifically targeted to the Commonwealth’s small and mid-sized manufacturers, have enabled their clients to realize over $7.4 trillion in additional revenue and $636 million in bottom-line cost savings over the past 10 years. Additionally, the Centers have facilitated over $1.5 billion in manufacturer investment within Pennsylvania and created or retained over 56,000 manufacturing jobs during the same time period.
