PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Flood Recovery Information – Click Here

On Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9 of 2011, flood conditions throughout Bradford, Columbia, Luzerne, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne and Wyoming counties threatened the operations of over 1,000 manufacturing businesses, which collectively employ nearly 55,000 workers.

NEPIRC – the only organization funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that focuses exclusively on assisting northeastern Pennsylvania’s manufacturers – has developed a comprehensive plan of action to help manufacturers recover from the recent flood and return to full production as quickly and affordably as possible.

NEPIRC is offering the following programs to assist manufacturers affected by flooding;

  • Productivity Sharing Program
  • Clean-Up Equipment & Service Locator Program
  • Quick-Turnaround Recovery Loans
  • Business Recovery Assessment
  • FEMA, PEMA and Other Agency Liaison Program

NEPIRC continues to meet with State and Federal Representatives to gather information on help for manufacturers affected by flooding.  We will continue to update this page as needed.

Documentation is the word we keep hearing.  Document everything damaged and its value before throwing it out.  Keep all receipts for items purchased for clean-up and replacement of lost items.
